KinG-Drive

KinG-Drive is a Soul R’n’B artist based is Lyon (FRANCE), who creates his own music since 2005. Having benefited from a short classical music education, his piano skills are at the heart of his process of creation.

His inspiration is multicultural, having African origins, his use of choirs and rhythmic sonorities gives to his music rather warm colors. Constantly in the process of creating music, because KinG-Drive deeply believes that music is all about sharing, he is always seeking to collaborate with other artists (hip hop, electro, etc) to extend is musical universe.

Q: Which song would you like featured?
I would like my last EP “We Should Be Keeping In Mind” featured.

Q: How long have you been creating music?
I have been creating music since year 2005

Q: Do you have a preferred genre?
My preferred genre is Soul R’n’B

Q: Do you write your own music, or do you collaborate
I do write my music on my own, I can also collaborate

Q: Tell us about your latest song, EP, or album.
My last Ep is a love song that speaks about the misunderstandings in a couple, the message being, they are part of the relation, and no matter what and how many they are, one should not focus on them, but rather cherish what bring one another closer to each other.

Q: What is the best song you ever released and why?
Having released only one song apart from this one, I really couldn’t tell at this stage

Q: Do you, or would you like to, perform live?
Of course, I believe that any artist, more than sharing your art, would like to do it live with his audience

Q: Which of your songs is, or do you think would be, fun to perform live?
My first release “Me & My”, because I have already had the opportunity to test an unplugged version with a friend. Me playing on the piano singing and him accompanying me

Q: What is your favorite/best outlet to connect with your followers Instagram, Spotify, FB, Twitter, iTunes? How would you want them to follow?
I really am not yet into social media as an artist at the moment, creating my music being yet still quite new. But I would say Spotify as it is meant for that purpose at least as a starter

Q: Are you currently working on any projects we should look out for?
Yes, I am, and it is nearly finished. A rather soul R’n’B song that speaks about hidden nasty feelings which are part of our human nature.
